Experience and a History of Job Placement Success

While the Charlotte-Mecklenburg JobLink Center System benefits from the involvement of many partners, two organizations with a long history of successful career planning, training and placement serve as the hosting organizations of the system.

The Albemarle Road/Executive Center JobLink is hosted by the Employment Security Commission of North Carolina. With statewide and national resources, ESC provides a depth of services that other job placement agencies cannot match. From exhaustive research and job market analysis to a computerized statewide job database, ESC offers wide ranging opportunities for both employers and job seekers.

The South Boulevard JobLink Career Center is hosted by Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont. Goodwill Industries has been serving people in the region for more than three decades. Through innovative job skills training and employment services, more than 15,000 individuals have gained the means to break down vocational barriers and move beyond government dependency, firmly on a path to financial independence.

The North Tryon JobLink Career Center is hosted by the Charlotte Enterprise Community. In 1994, a group of concerned neighborhood residents, local government staff, non-profit agencies and the business community came together to develop the Charlotte Enterprise Community (CEC) Initiative. CEC’s drive to deliver Workforce and Economic Development solutions produced an outreach and programs that add great value to Charlotte’s workforce. Its work has enhanced the lives of many people in our communities with services such as:

  • JobLink Career Center (WIA One-Stop) Partner
  • Comprehensive Job Fairs
  • Job Training sessions and Pre-employment workshops
    Entrepreneurship Training
  • Tax incentive workshops and information provided.
